JOB DESCRIPTION

RL is a firm specialized in supply chain management within the scope of executing major projects. Our company provides integrated procurement solutions for our clients, who are primarily word-renowned companies in the mining and industrial sector. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive collaborator to expand this great team that is RL.

Procurement agent role description 1–10 years

The procurement agents will work closely with members of other departments. Position holders will collaborate with various disciplines to meet the project needs in connection with the requisitions from the field team. Procurement agents will ensure that the best procurement practices are applied in compliance with industry health and safety standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Implement and apply procurement procedures;
  • Ensure qualification and supervise bidders;
  • Prepare and publish tender documents;
  • Conduct commercial analysis and coordinate clarifications with bidders;
  • Negotiate applicable purchase order terms;
  • Issue recommendations for awards and obtain written approval;
  • Issue letter of intent and regret;
  • Prepare requisitions in the system, issue purchase orders, and manage changes to orders;
  • Support the project team in daily material requests;
  • Anticipate and analyze risks associated with critical suppliers;
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to contractual agreements;
  • Maintain business relationships with suppliers;
  • Complete administrative tasks related to purchase order closure;
  • Manage and negotiate expenses;
  • Any other related tasks;

REQUIRED EXPERTISE

  • Degree in administration or equivalent training;
  • One to 10 years of experience in an industrial environment;
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with TI, JDE, or SAP, an asset;
  • emonstrate dynamism, autonomy, and a professional sense of organization;
  • Communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize recommendations;
  • Demonstrate leadership in meetings;
  • Teamwork;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
